SOURCE: Veteran Inter Milan midfielder Luis Figo has revealed that he hopes to play on for another season. Figo, 35, backtracked on a decision to retire last summer and has made 20 appearances in all competitions for the Serie A champions-elect this season despite breaking his leg in November. The former Portugal international is out of contract at the San Siro at the end of the season and has been tipped for a move to Major League Soccer, but Figo himself is keen to remain in Italy for a further 12 months. "After the injury, I changed my mind. I want to play for another year," he revealed. However, Figo has suggested he will only sign a new deal with Inter if he is handed more starting opportunities. He added: "My first option is Italy, but not as I am doing now."
