Pauleta To Stay On At PSG?

Paris Saint-Germain veteran Pedro Pauleta has indicated that he could well stay on at Parc des Princes, despite rumours suggesting otherwise...

Several reports have suggested the interest of the "big three" from Portugal in the 35-year-old, whose team seem very close to experiencing relegation to Ligue 2.

Pauleta himself has said that he has been studying offers, having claimed that he would like to end his career in his home country of Portugal, where he has never played in the first division.

But he now explains that only PSG's demotion to the second division would make him consider leaving the French capital club at the end of the season.

"Paris Saint-Germain will be my last club in France. If PSG are relegated to the second division, then we will see what happens," he said.

PSG confirmed last week that the club's president, Alain Cayzac, would be quitting his post as chairman of the club. Pauleta has expressed his sadness over Cayzac's decision, adding that the club's new sporting director, Michel Moulin, "has been very positive".

"It was a shame that Cayzac had to leave. With only four games left for the season to end, I do not think that changes were needed," added Pauleta.

Paris Saint-Germain sit in the 18th spot, inside the drop zone, and will meet relegation rivals Toulouse on Saturday.
