SOURCE: Internazionale star Luis Figo admits he likes the idea of Jose Mourinho taking over the club, and would like to retire there with him as coach... The two are of course compatriots, and Figo has been rumoured to have had a somewhat rocky relationship with current Inter coach, Roberto Mancini. Arguably the most infamous bust-up between the two came on the night of the Nerazzurri's elimination from the Champions League this year. At home, as they were losing 1-0 on the night and 3-0 on aggregate to Liverpool, Figo reportedly refused to come on as a substitute, a claim Mancini never expressly denied. On that fateful night, Mancini even tendered his resignation. This, after leading an Inter side that rampaged through Serie A all season long up to that point. However, the elimination from the Champions League almost seemed to trigger the beginning of the end for the Milan outfit, who have since conspired to throw away a commanding lead in the league, as the title race is now going down to the final day, with them needing a win to be absolutely sure of retaining the scudetto. Despite Mancini reversing his resignation the very following day, things have not been the same since then. Jose Mourinho has, time and time again, been linked with the top job at San Siro and despite several denials of any link, with Inter's poor end to the season coupled with Mourinho becoming restless after his long lay-off since being sacked by Chelsea, a move could be made. With rumours of Figo retiring this season being quashed by the legendary winger himself, he has added that he would like to finish his career at San Siro with Mourinho as the coach, though he admits it is not certain whether such a move is possible, especially when considering club president Massimo Moratti's constant and public reassurances that Mancini will be staying on this summer. "It would be good to finish my career at Inter of Milan with Mourinho as the coach," admitted Figo. "I am not sure if he will come to Inter. "I have seen all the media speculation and I would like to play under Mourinho."
