SOURCE: Reports that Manchester United have agreed a deal with highly rated Portuguese defender Jose Bosingwa are off the mark, according to his agent. But reports indicate that the Red Devils had successfully negotiated a ?55k-per-week deal with the Porto right-back, but Rui Neno insists that no such agreement is in place. "There is not any sort of agreement with Manchester United,'' he said. "If any club bid the 30 million euros set by the club, I believe there might be agreement. "In Bosingwa's contract there is not any buyout clause preventing him from negotiating.'' The Zaire-born defender has long indicated he could leave Porto at the end of the season if an offer arises in the summer transfer window. Bosingwa would welcome offers from clubs abroad and believes Porto may be willing to let him go for the right price. The 25-year-old has risen to prominence since Paulo Ferreira’s departure for Chelsea in 2004, and has recently overtaken Luis Miguel as Portugal’s favoured right-back. Filling the right-back slot is a priority at Old Trafford, given Gary Neville’s age and injury problems, and Bosingwa could be the ideal solution due to the similarity between his playing style and that of United left-back Patrice Evra.
