SOURCE: Carlos Queiroz has emerged as one of the favourites to be offered the job of replacing José Antonio Camacho as the coach of Benfica. The Manchester United assistant boss and Argentinian legend Carlos Bianchi are the two men that the Portuguese club have targetted as they look for an experienced trainer to take the reins. Queiroz returned to Old Trafford after an unsuccessful season in charge of Real Madrid's new look Galácticos and has continued to enjoy success under Alex Ferguson. Bianchi has also had a stint in Spain when he failed miserably as the coach of Atlético de Madrid, but his record in charge of Boca Juniors is phenomenal. Benfica chiefs are said to be consulting with senior players, in particular Rui Costa, to assess who they would like to see take over from Camacho, who resigned on Sunday evening. Portuguese paper A Bola, believe that it is a straight race between Queiroz and Bianchi, but there are other names in the frame if those two decide not to take the role. Italian Alberto Malesani, Turkish coach Fatih Terim and Portuguese trainer José Peseiro are all other potential replacements.
