SOURCE: Out-of-work manager Jose Mourinho is said to be a prime candidate for the soon-to-be-vacant Inter Milan job, but the player's representative says that - to his knowledge - there has been no contact between the two parties yet... Eladio Parames did not by any means rule out a possible move for Mourinho to the San Siro, but claimed that the wheels are not yet in motion for such a switch. Inter will soon be on the lookout for a new manager due to Roberto Mancini's decision to unilaterally sever his contract with the nerazzurri this summer, passing up the final four years of his deal. Parames said to Sporting Life, "As far as I am aware he has not spoken to the Inter president. "What happens is that his background speaks for itself so it's natural that the media keep writing, talking and speculating about him. "Papers mention the Liverpool job too, but Mourinho has had no contact there either." The agent, however, confirmed that Mourinho was on the cusp of a return to management. "Definitely he will be managing a top-flight club in Europe next season. I cannot tell you which club it will be, but he will be back, for sure," he continued. "Quite often Jose says to me: 'Everyone links my name to the clubs in trouble, but the truth is that I remain without job and I'm getting used to the speculation'. "Why does he prefer Italy or Spain rather than England? Because he wants new challenges. "He is not banned nor has he agreed not to return to England, as some papers have said. "Those leagues play a different style and he is attracted to this challenge. "It does not mean that he will not return to England. He can do, but I am not seeing Liverpool, Manchester United, Chelsea or Arsenal sacking their managers." While Parames was mostly non-committal, he all but confirmed that Jose would not be heading back to his native Portugal to join Benfica. He concluded, "I believe that Benfica have already defined their future coach profile. "I do not think Mourinho suits it and there has not been any contact either."
