Mexico Want Scolari

According to media sources in South America, Luiz Felipe Scolari is one of the possible names to coach the Mexican national team.

The Brazilian tactician has been the head coach of the Portuguese national team since 2003 but is expected to resign from his post after Euro 2008.

Hugo Sánchez has been heavily criticized for his work in the El Tri after failing to assure qualification for the Olympic Games due to goal difference.

Italian Marcelo Lippi and Argentine Carlos Bianchi have also been linked with the managerial post in the Mexican squad. Sánchez started being linked with the exit door after Mexican businessman Jorge Vergara, owner of four football clubs, declared that he would prefer a new coach for Mexico.
