Lucho Happy With Life At Porto

Lucho González says that he is happy with life at Porto after previous reports suggesting otherwise...

El Commandante arrived at Estádio do Dragão in 2005 from River Plate, and has been an ever-present figure in the Dragons' midfield since his transfer.

González, who has been trailed by a host of clubs in Europe, recently expressed his wish for a new challenge to earn a regular place in the Argentine national squad.

But the versatile midfielder has now brushed off any reports suggesting him to be unhappy at the Portuguese club.

"I never said that the Portuguese league is not competitive, what I said was that such competitiveness is not recognized in Argentina," he said.

"FC Porto is a very big club, known all over the world, and I am very happy here."

González has been called up by Alfio Basile to play for Argentina in their friendly match against Egypt.
