SOURCE: Deco is preparing for life away from Camp Nou at the end of the season and it is believed that his next destination will either be in England or Atlético de Madrid. The Portuguese midfielder is rumoured to have failed in his bid to leave the club last summer, but is now determined to move on when the current campaign draws to a close. Sport believe that there will be interest from the big four in the Premier League, with Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool all showing interest in Deco in the past. Barça are now willing to let him leave as his level this season has been nowhere near the standard that the club expects, an impression that they formed last term. Deco was heavily criticised for his display in the defeat by Real Madrid in the last league game before the Christmas break and has yet to win over the doubters. Atlético de Madrid could also be an attractive proposition as it would allow Deco to remain in the Spanish league and their bid could be bolstered if they qualify for the Champions League. Playing in Brazil is something that he has also considered, but staying in Europe is currently the preferred option and while their is interest a return to his country of birth is not on the cards. The speculation has started early as Sport believe that Deco is already tying up loose ends in Barcelona in order to be able to leave as quickly as possible in the summer.
