Braga wins 1-0 at Nacional

Jose Manuel's 25th-minute goal brought Braga a 1-0 victory at Nacional in the Portuguese league on Saturday.

Braga's win lifted it into seventh place with 30 points. Nacional, the league's joint lowest scorer with 15 goals from 22 games, dropped to ninth with 29.

Also, Anselmo scored the only goal in the 41st minute and Amadora downed relegation-threatened Pacos Ferreira , which remained without an away win this season.

The goal was created by Celestino's through ball to Pedro Pereira, who presented Anselmo with the scoring opportunity.

Amadora rose to 10th place with 24 points, while Pacos Ferreira is second-to-last with 16.

FC Porto leads the league with 51 points and looks set for a third straight league title. Benfica follows with 39, two more than Setubal, while Guimaraes is next with 35.

On Sunday, Porto hosts Academica, while Benfica entertains last-place Leiria. Also, it's: Naval v Leixoes; and Guimaraes v Sporting.

On Monday, Belenenses hosts Boavista.
