Lisandro On Foreign Interest

After the game against Benfica, FC Porto striker Lisandro López commented on his future at the club and the alleged interest from foreign clubs in his services.

The Argentine international has been riding high on form this season for FC Porto, and he is thought to have attracted an array of admiring clubs all over Europe.

The 25-year-old increased his goal scoring tally for the season against Benfica this Sunday, netting two goals in the derby.

He is the leading scorer in the Portuguese league with 24 goals. With interest in capturing the player allegedly coming from England, Spain and Italy, López may well be close to waving goodbye to Portugal, but the striker explained that no talks have been held.

"When the season reaches and end, we will talk about it," he said after the game. "For now, my mind is on Porto and what is left to play. "I am just one player in the squad, it's this group that makes me stand out, credit goes to everyone in the team."

"I continue working like I have always done and the goals show my attitude. We have a very strong and united group, and we demonstrated once again why we are champions."

López arrived at Estádio do Dragão in 2005 from Racing Club for a transfer fee of €2.5 million, and has three international caps to his name.
