Veloso has learned his lesson. You want out ? Keep your mouth shut or say that you are ok to stay. The moment you say publicly that you want out, the other teams automatically offer less . He is being a much smarter player both on the field and off.

Definitely... If he is to leave this month or at seasons end (which is looking more and more likely if anything it'll be at seasons end), then we can finally say that he's earned it.
All it took was a full seasons worth of staying focused and keeping his mouth shut.

its not going to happen, month end is here and a big game tomorrow...like it friggen will NOT HAPPEN
he has definetely shown tonnes of maturity, great off the pitch but his play this year has been above par on a team that has been most days below par

Manchester United could be another club to the long list interested in Veloso. Scouts were apparently at the Everton-Sporting match and it is believed that Man U may of been watching Veloso

... he'll go there and spend most of his time on the bench like Nani...
but recent play isn't helping his worth much...

£10 million is a figure the media made up.Going by Fergies track record he would offer about 17 mil for this callibre player, maybe a bit more.He just bought an unknown defender,Chris Smalling, for £10 mil,why hate Man United? We pay what the player is worth.
Just because e sold a player for £80 million,it doesnt mean we should pay silly money for players..we are neither Real Madrid or Man City.It is they who have inflated prices.

Surely you can understand frustrations from Sporting fans after just about every club in the world is after all of our young talent. Particularly always seems to be Man U who are interested...
17 million euros seems like a fair offer. Personally, I wouldn't settle for anything less than 20 million euros for Veloso.

#10 on Goal.com Top 10 Most Overrated Players.
10) Miguel Veloso (Sporting): A rather unimaginative makeweight who is judged as brilliant by people who have only ever seen him in Football Manager. Obviously boasts an excellent agent as the midfielder is continually linked to top European clubs. Yet at nearly 24, he hasn’t joined any of them yet.

A bit harsh i might say. How is he unimaginative in the least?

I don't really understand the hate for Miguel Veloso. Although it is goal.com, I've seen numerous sites/message boards see nothing special in Veloso. which amazes me...
People were all excited about him seasons ago when he looked promising, and now he's finally living up to all that hype and all the sudden he's overrated. Amazing really.
I think people have gotta really sit down.. and watch him play for real. He's a totally changed player this season from top to bottom .
Comparing Veloso' play to last season.. I don't think I've ever seen so much drastic improvement in any player I've ever watched before.
